Attention Mid-Life, Mid-Career Executives And Professionals: “Now You Can Get More Mileage Out of Your Career, Expand Your Horizons and Avoid Getting Blindsided, Sideswiped, Crushed And Dented” Your car probably gets checked out every 15,000 miles or so. You probably check your heating and a/c regularly. You know that tune-ups will prolong the life of your car and keep you on the road, moving ahead as fast as possible. Now it's time to do the same for your career. Your career has to travel through storms, dry spells, and an occasional blizzard. You encounter many hazards along the way. You need the business equivalent of snow tires, no-skid brakes and maybe some new skills to cope with unexpected conditions. Some signs you might benefit from a Career Tune Up:
These questions are tough. If you're lying awake at night, worrying about even one of them, you are not alone. Most mid-career professionals feel stumped ... and frustrated because they're used to being in the driver's seat, steering a steady course without help. Wouldn't it be nice to ...
"Tune Up, Turn On And Blast Off."
"Who is Cathy Goodwin and why is she qualified to present this program?"
Cathy has a gift for lasering on your specific career challenge within a few minutes of your call. (That's why often ONE call with Cathy will usually be the equivalent of 4 or 5 calls with another consultant.) She's not in the business of keeping clients around for years (although sometimes people call for a tune-up a few years after the first program). She wants you to get FAST answers and get moving. "Will this program be enough?" Most clients find this ONE program is enough to answer their questions, get un-stuck and move forward on their own. They don't need weeks and weeks of follow-up coaching so they save hundreds (or thousands) of dollars. They walk away with a plan they can take into action. And (unlike most career consulting programs) you get a week of follow-up email for questions. Other clients use this program as a way to see if we can work together. They want longer-term maintenance and more in-depth planning. Still others repeat the program as situations change. "What results can you promise?" In my experience, most mid-career professionals and executives will get positive outcomes when they come to the program with a realistic attitude, follow through with action and move quickly to implement the plan we create on the call. Some of my clients have gained new insights and decided to move in a totally different direction than they planned originally. Others feel a weight has been lifted from their shoulders, so they have more energy and enthusiasm for their careers (and more). Still others view this program as a launching pad for further action. "Why can't I just talk to my family, friends and colleagues?" Of course you can talk to family and friends! Most executives start with their inner circles. But keep in mind that your family has a vested interest in the outcome. They probably want you to stay the same. They know you ...as you are. Your best friends don't always understand the way career change works. They probably know their own careers - not yours or how to make changes. Soon they get "compassion fatigue." They get really tired of hearing about your story. Why risk your family's happiness? Why annoy good friends with ongoing career questions? You will LOVE this program if... ... you are comfortable with action. ... you have at least 5 years of experience in a business or career ... you are a professional, executive or business owner ... you don't spend a lot of time worrying about "What if ...?" and "How can I know for sure?" ... you do your research and listen to your intuition, and then you take action ... you like working with someone who's got a strong, direct communication style You will HATE this program if ... ... funds are extremely tight and you are feeling desperate ... you need help for anxiety, depression or another medical condition that calls for a therapist ... you anticipate a major life or schedule change (vacation, wedding, travel) in the next few weeks ... you are recovering from death of a loved one or a recent divorce (and you're still fragile) Of course, sometimes you may have an unusual situation and you'll wonder if it's within my scope. If that's the case, send an email to midlifecareerstrategy (a) gmail.com "Okay, Cathy, what's my investment?" Your investment for pre-call preparation, 60-90 minute call and one week of email is just $250. If you check around the Internet, you'll find that many consultants charge this amount (or more) for just a 50-minute stand-alone call, i.e., a call that is not part of a longer program. The going rate for email coaching is $250-$500 for 1 month. You probably will not have long-distance charges; I use a recording service with local access in most states and countries (and skype is okay). You may be able to deduct your investment from your taxes. I am NOT a tax expert and circumstances vary. Please ask your accountant if you qualify. "Once I sign up, when should I schedule a call?" This program is designed for mid-career professionals who are ready for fast, immediate action. You will get the best outcomes when you take action early. You will be expected to sign up for a call within 3 business days after you sign up and pay, and we hold the call within 15 days after you sign up and pay. "Can we talk on the evenings or on a weekend?" Weekend calls and evening calls (when available) can be scheduled with a surcharge of $50. If you live in the Mountain or Pacific Time Zones of the US, we can probably arrange a call that will be early morning for you at no extra charge. "OK - I'm ready! What do I do now?" Click on the "Add to shopping cart" icon below and I'll be in touch. If you don't hear from me within one or two business days, please send an email or find me on Facebook. Emails do go astray and I don't want to miss the connection.
