Tips are pretty straightforward:
(1) Use your Twitter page to pitch your interest and present yourself as a solid citizen. Create a professional Twitter page and get a good photo of yourself.
(2) Tweet strictly about your career interests. Avoid the temptation to write things like, “Just jumped into the shower and couldn’t get hot water.” (People really do tweet that stuff. Don’t ask me why.)
(3) Link to your professional job hunting website. Make sure you’re ready for a job hunt with cards, phone, and resumes. I go into this in my job search guide.
